Melissa E. McMorries has engaged in the practice of law for over twenty-five years.  Prior to forming McClure & McMorries, PC, she served as Interim Executive Director of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Inc., and was associated with Rogers & Hardin, LLP and most recently with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP in their respective corporate and securities law departments.  Prior to entering private practice, she was Vice President and General Counsel of The Regina Company, a small appliance manufacturing firm, and corporate and securities law counsel for RJR Nabisco, Inc.  She is admitted to the Bars of the States of Georgia and North Carolina. She has served as a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations, and currently is Past President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, a Sunday School teacher and member of the Stewardship Committee at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.  She was born in Bethesda, Maryland, completed her undergraduate degree, cum laude, at DukeUniversity, and her law degree, cum laude, at Wake Forest University School of Law.  She was Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review and was the winner of the Phi Alpha Delta Scholastic Cup.
